The Small Club Alliance is a group formed by Small Clubs to PROMOTE, GROW, SUPPORT and NURTURE an environment where ALL small clubs can thrive and stay relevant. We firmly believe that a healthy soccer ecosystem, as it exists in every successful soccer developed country around the world, culminates due to a decentralized infrastructure of hyper-local small clubs who serve their immediate community where they reside.
Small Clubs in North Texas are severely underserved, undersupported, underestimated and underrepresented. Due to these reasons, the North Texas youth soccer system is increasingly drifting away from a Diverse soccer club culture and consolidating toward a more monopolized environment between a handful of clubs.
In the US and especially in North Texas, youth soccer is a business strategy rather than a soccer strategy. In every soccer developed country in the world, they measure the value of their club not by the quantity of their youth teams, but by the quality of talent production. Every major club in the world, focuses on 1 or 2 teams per age group.
We believe that Clubs who focus on developing 1 or 2 teams per age group within their local communities, will advance player development more so than playing on the 7th team of big Blue and will have the most significant positive impact on advancing the game as a whole.
